Orphans, victims of abuse, disabled people, homeless destitute – the list of the needy who are robbed of a decent life is endless. Spare a thought for these destitutes who have no support whatsoever and who are in desperate need of our help and sympathy.

The weakest and the underprivileged often face the worst that life has to offer. Living in hopeless conditions, they need all the help to get them out of disease and squalor. Some noble organizations have taken up cudgels against these inequalities and are doing a wonderful job of empowering them and providing them basic amenities to lead a decent life.

The world’s poor live in the most abominable conditions. They need jobs, homes and education to overcome their misery. Many charity organizations provide these much needed inputs to help them overcome their plight. Innumerable organizations focus their attention on different sections of people who are in need. Be it orphaned children or the homeless, people displaced by dams or those ravaged by war, the world is filled with people who are able to identify and help a community that needs immediate attention.

In times of catastrophe, people need shelter, food and infrastructure to rebuild their homes. Volunteers are often needed who can live with the affected and help them in reconstructing their homes and hearths. If one knows the various charities that exist, it is easier to coordinate and contribute to a cause that is close to one’s heart.
