Consumers have rights too. More often than not we find it difficult to find help in case of a grievance against a product that fails to deliver the promised benefit.
Help is at hand. A clutch of non-profit organizations have taken the task of bringing justice to consumers. From being forums where consumers can air their grievances, they also provide help in getting suits against offending companies settled.
Gone are the days when a customer had to grin and bear it. Nowadays the laws of most countries encompass stringent laws to punish offenders who trample on an agreement. In most cases however, consumers are in the dark about what their rights are. It needs education, support and patience to help a consumer in his fight against a wrong doing on the part of a company. Often companies are sued for negligence and failure to honor an agreement. This has infact forced many companies to drastically alter their manufacturing processes and marketing communication to deliver what is promised.
Consumer protection groups that seek to argue and represent consumers in their just cause against injustice have proliferated. Having volunteers who are professionals in their respective fields, they dedicate time and resource to safeguard the consumer and help them get what is rightfully theirs.
