You being a woman, it is advisable to take less traveled path, dingy lanes, and streets without lamps.

A drunken tourist is always a big target. Moreover, a drunken female tourist is naturally a prey to anyone. So, abstain from your habit of consumption when you travel alone since people might take advantage if you get intoxicated. Leaving drink unattended in a disc or pub is dangerous, since you never know that if someone mixes anything to it. Do not drink liquors with content that you are unaware of, as heavier content might knock you off your feet.
- Keep Your Closed Ones Informed
Do inform someone close about your trip and whereabouts. And inform someone back home as soon as you enter or leave a hotel. Yes, it is important to leave a trail. You can also use your social media such as sharing an update on check-in to a new location, a quick photo upload keeping friend and family tagged in it.
- Be Aware of Your Surroundings
Travelling solo is fun, but it does come with a set of responsibility. When you travel solo, it is important to keep your eye and ears open and ensure that your belonging is safe. When you are at public place keep the belongings just in front and zips done up at all times. Do not to keep all your valuables in one place. Stop advertising your belongings like iPad or Cameras as it might attract thieves. However, it sounds like a no-brainer, but it is advisable to trust your gut feeling. If your gut tells something is fishy, then ignore and move ahead.
